Ori and the Blind Forest

A gem of a game! Strangely enough this game didn’t appear on my radar until recently when it was gifted to me on Steam. And I must say it’s PRETTY! Not only that but it’s also a joy to play. The influences are very obvious and they don’t even try to hide it. Both Castlevania and Metroid where a huge inspiration and it shows. As a big fan of those series myself I can only appreciate games like this being a fresh but familiar approach to the genre. Only released this month it already got overwhelmingly positive reviews. So without a doubt one to recommend and tell your friends about.
